Del Rio Country Club and First Tee – Central Valley
In early 2001, a nonprofit, Del Rio C.C. Foundation, began an in-depth study of First Tee in connection with the City of Modesto. Then, in October of 2003, after planning and community networking, The First Tee Headquarters approved First Tee – Central Valley to be managed by the Del Rio C.C. Foundation non-profit organization.
Now, First Tee – Central Valley has steady golf course access because of the continuing partnership with the City of Modesto. Through the collaborative efforts of county youth service organizations, First Tee – Central Valley offers outreach programming throughout Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Mariposa, and Merced counties. Clinics are also held regularly in the cities of Modesto, Ceres, Atwater, and Merced.
Del Rio CC Foundation Mission:
To positively impact the young people of the Central Valley area by providing educational programs that build positive character development and seamlessly deliver life skills through the game of golf.
